How Donald and Pluto made my Christmas

Hey everyone I hope you ask had a fantastic Christmas. I hope you all got what you wanted plus more.

I got multiple things for Christmas such as a bunch of things I need for moving to Disney. However as our Christmas Eve traditinal gathering came to a close my uncles surprised me along with everyone else by giving me 2 very special good-luck charms.

As some of you might know I have moved to florida before and loved it everytime. However I

would love to stay and work at disney fo good. As a good luck charm for achieving this goal my uncles gave me their 1960′s Walt Disney Productions Character Bobbleheads. I know to some that’s not that special but for me, a disney fan it meant a bunch. Something really neat my uncles said was…”take them to see Mickey.” This is a for sure.

Have a magical day everyone!

What Is On Your Ticket?

When you purchase a ticket, you will see on the back of that ticket several things.

  1. A Magnetic strip. This magnetic strip has several things on it. When you purchase your ticket the computer puts a code on it that matches the in the computer, when scanned at the turnstiles the code is then relayed to the computer to check if it is a valid ticket for entry. The magnetic strip also is where the information from the finger scanner is stored. As a former Cast Member who had to sell tickets and work turnstiles I can tell you that the scanner does not take a copy of your fingerprint. If it did you the scanner would have to be cleaned in between each guest. The scanner simply measures your finger, (width, length and depth) this is to prevent others from using it.
  2. Signature area
  3. The type of ticket such as (1 DAY (1 THEME PARK))
  4. Last Name
  5. What you can do on this ticket such as (PARK HOPPER or NOT VALID FOR PARK HOPPING))
  6. A  barcode for scanning at the turnstiles
  7. Transaction information (includes time of purchase, where you purchased, how long the ticket is valid, transaction # and ticket number

When you receive a room key you will find some of the same things:

  1. Check in –Check out dates
  2. Name of card holder
  3. Transaction number
  4. Room Type
  5. Card ID# (info retaining to if it can be used for charging)

Ticket Tips

When you purchase your ticket there are some things you can do to make sure you always have your ticket safe. Be sure to keep it in a safe place like a wallet or bill fold or somewhere you know you will always have it on hand. Be sure to endorse the signature of the person that will be the holder of the ticket. The last tip I have for you is one of my Cast Member tips. Whenever you purchase a ticket use your phone or anything that has a camera and take a quick picture of the back of the ticket. Be sure to capture the transaction information. If lost this information can potentially save you lots of money! All the Cast Members need is that transaction number and they can pull up your tickets and cancel the ticket you lost and potential replace it for you! Good tip, huh? I thought so. When I used to sell tickets we used to tell people to take a ” Pic with your Tick!” Well this is a breakdown of your ticket, and with prices increasing  maybe now you will understand them and little more and possibly they became a little more valuable to you!
