Happy Monday everyone and that means it’s time for Money Monday! Let’s start off with some facts. When you plan your vacation to Disney World, how long do you stay? Most families who plan their trip stay about 5-7 days. If you have never been to Disney World you will most definitely use all 5-7 days going to all the parks and having Disney fun. However what if you have been before and you’re looking for something new and interesting to do. Well you have come to the right place.

If you are a frequent Disney go-er you know a must do is go to the parks. What if you are in Disney for 7 days and you have been to the parks the last 5-6 days you might not want to go to a park on your last day. Instead you might want to try something new and relax. In this case I have a few ideas for you. Stay at your hotel. You already know you have paid for your hotel and a huge bonus is that your hotel has activities all throughout the day. There are all kinds of things you can do. You can hang out with the little ones at the pool or play hopscotch with some resort Cast Members. Not only are these things FREE but by staying in one day while in Disney you will save by not having to buy park tickets. This can be a savings of up to $100 per person! A HUGE SAVINGS. If this sounds like something you would like to do, be sure to check with the front desk of your hotel for a list of daily activities. They have all types of things from movie showings to fun in the sun activities for you and the little ones. Hopefully on your next trip to Disney you can tryout some cool new fun at your resort. I hope these ideas will help you and I hope you will save some money and have a Magical Vacation!

Hi and welcome to another Money Monday. When you go to Walt Disney World what do you see a lot of? STROLLERS. Yes you see a bunch of them all over the Disney parks, but which is better, rent or bring your own? Here are the facts:

If you bring your own its free if you drive. If you are flying you MIGHT have a fee unless you put it with the rest of your luggage. However if you do have an airline fee you would only pay this fee twice whereas when in Disney you will need the stroller for the entire week. Stroller rentals start at $15 per day for a single stroller and are $31 per day for a double. If you happen to be at Downtown Disney you have to put down a $100 credit card deposit, this is mainly because at Downtown Disney the strollers are easier to steal than at the other parks. When you return your stroller at Downtown Disney you will receive a credit card deposit refund.

Disney also offers multiple day rentals as well $13 per day for a single and $27 per day for a double.

Let’s look at the savings. For a single stroller for a week you can expect to spend about $91 and a week with a double stroller you can expect to spend about $189. So if you have two younger kidsyou can potentially save about $200 just by bringing your own stroller, however does the convenience of not having to travel with a stroller equal the saving? This I will not know until I have my own kids. I hope some of this information helps you to plan your next big trip to Disney World. Have a Magical Day!

Hey everyone and welcome to another Money Monday. When you travel to Disney World buying tickets is a big part of your trip. It will literally define what you do and how long you stay. Why stay a week if you can only afford 4 days at the parks?

When planning your ticket purchases I would suggest buying the 5 day park hopper ticket. Not only will you get 5 days at the parks but you will be able to park hop and go to the water parks. These tickets are $361. This can really save you money even if you do not know what parks you will go to. Think about it one person to get into the park is about $100 for each park. You will get all the parks and water parks for less than $400.

If you are planning to go to Disney World more than once a year I would suggest getting an Annual Pass. Yes they are more expensive ranging from $519 – $649. Obviously the more expensive ones also get you into the water parks. The plus side to having these tickets is that you will get into all the parks and you will get discounts. The good thing too is that you only have to pay for it one time a year. I hope this helps you in planning your vacation to Disney World and if you have any suggestions for future post please comment! Have a Magical Day!

Money Monday 7.25.2011

Hey everyone and welcome to another Money Monday. This is going to be a very short post today about how to save while eating in Disney World. If you have been to Disney you know that the food can be very pricey and finding ways around paying that can be challenging. However I have come up with a couple ways that can save you some money that you can use elsewhere in Disney World.

First I would have to say splurge at lunch time. This will not only help keep the price down but you will also get to experience to ambiance of the restaurants. Another tip would be while you are thinking about eating lunch at a restaurant try and get an all you can eat buffet for the family. Once again the prices will be lower than those at dinner. If you can simply eat cheaper and potentially more by hitting up an all you can eat buffet you can be looking to save at least $20 per family of four. If you do this during your week long trip and eat small filling things for dinner you can save potentially $140 just by eating a big lunch instead of a pricey dinner. Well I hope this helps you while you are in Disney World and I hope you have a Magical Vacation!

Magical Money Monday

You have saved and saved, thanks to saving tips like those found at Meet the Magic and Couponing to Disney. Now you can finally go on your dream vacation to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. However do not be fooled. The savings do not have to stop there. There are multiple ways to save in Disney World as well. In the weeks to come I will be dishing out some money saving tips that you, a guest or Cast Member, can use while in the parks.

For my first tip, it would have to involve hydration. Yep you read this correctly, buying beverages while in a Disney Park is one of the easiest ways to spend money. For those of you who do not know this, Disney does allow you to bring in outside beverages, as long as they are not glass or contain alcohol. So naturally what are you left with? A bottle or something else refillable, such as one of those refillable aluminum bottles, right? A great thing about Disney is that water almost everywhere is FREE. If you do not have a bottle buy a water, they cost $2.50, not only do you have water for later but you have your bottle! Cast Members if you do not have a bottle buy your water from a merchandise store so you can use your discount!!

You can also get free water in a cup from places with a soda fountain; I suggest using a bottle because you can fill it and seal it. This way you can throw it in your bag or under a stroller for later. Just by saving your bottle and refilling it during the day with water will save you at least $10 per person with a bottle. So if you are a family of five that is one ticket into Blizzard Beach paid for just by reusing your bottle. Stay tuned to more Magical Money Tips to come!
