Hidden Mickeys on Your iPhone
As most people know when in Walt Disney World there are many things that you can do. You can ride rides, experience some of the best food that any theme park can offer and enjoy breath taking scenery. However lots of people don’t know about Hidden Mickeys and the fact that you can find them even easier no days with an app. (I did a post on Hidden Mickeys earlier, so if you would like to learn some more about them go ahead and head over by clicking here.)
Steve Barrett, the author of the Hidden Mickey books that are for sale on Walt Disney World property also has an app for the Apple App Store. So if you have any iOS device then your good to go and look for some Hidden Mickeys!
The great thing that I have found with owning this app is that it updates! Unlike books to get the newest one you have to spend more money, but with apps it will update and you will get the same information that the book has! Another cool thing that I love about the app is that you get to create your own Hidden Mickey name tag. Take a look at mine!!
In all I love this app and I use it every single time I go to the parks! Give it a shot by going to the App Store and search for Hidden Mickeys: Walt Disney World, or Hidden Mickeys: Disneyland. The app costs $7.99, kinda high but totally worth it!! You cant go wrong and you are sure to have a great time searching the park for some mickeys!
Hidden Mickeys at Disney’s Art of Animation
The first Hidden Mickey is located on the benches in the lobby of the resort! Next, you can find a Hidden Mickey in the Landscape of Flavors. Over in the Little Mermaid section of the cafeteria is a large chandelier, this Hidden Mickey is located in that chandelier. Another Hidden Mickey I found is located on the carpets of the hallways in the Cars building and the Nemo buildings. My last Hidden Mickey I found was in the Cars room on a table in the Living Room area.
Looking For Fun
One of the most fun things to do in Disney World is not something you will need a FastPass for. It’s simply all around you. It’s finding Hidden Mickeys! Hidden Mickeys are all over Disney World. They are in the hotels, parks, water parks and even in T.V. shows and Disney movies. When I go to Disney world me and my family always try and find as many as we can in every ride. I even got the app for my iPod Touch. I love using this because if you really need some help finding them it will give you a very detailed hint, something the book doesn’t give you. In this post I will be posting a few pictures that I have taken of Hidden Mickeys. Some of the photos are from the parks and some are just a few I have just come upon. I hope you see all the Hidden Mickeys I see!! Happy searching! Remember they are EVEYWHERE not just in Disney World!
Another Hidden Mickey
Like most Disney fans I love Hidden Mickeys! I love to spend as much time as I can on rides looking for them and I love to stumble upon them outside of the rides in the scenery.
On one late night show called, “American Dad!” (a favorite of mine) I found this hidden treasure on Rogers hat!
Hidden Mickey At The Lake
Earlier this week I went on a 4 day vacation with my huge family to Wheeler Lake in Alabama. It was so much fun having the entire family, minus a few, there together. As you can see to the right this was our lakeside cottage that we got to stay in. It was a 3 bedroom with 3 bathrooms. It was pretty much in the perfect house for us. Besides the size it was located right on the water of Joe Wheeler Lake. The days to come would be full of tons of fun and the makings of family memories.
The day after we moved in we were privileged enough to be able to rent a pontoon boat for 8 hours. Being able to be out on the lake all day was so much fun and got to see a bunch of pretty lakeside home and learned a little bit about how locking through the Tennessee River works. While on
the lake my sister and cousin went tubing. This was kind of funny since the rental pontoon boat came with a 50 HP motor and was pulling my sister and cousins along with 8 other people. In all we didn’t go very fast which was perfectly fine.
The following day my younger cousins and aunt and uncle came over to the lake. We all went and hung out at the pool for the day and got to soak up some more sun with the family.
Now to tie in my love for Disney, on the 3rd day at the lake I noticed a picture in my bedroom that had a very familiar shape. That is right there was a hidden mickey!! I was so excited to see this I instantly took a picture and knew I had to write about this. This, as you can tell is not a tri circle hidden mickey, it is aside profile hidden mickey! Finding this was just a very small amount of fun and happiness that I was a part of this weekend.
